This is a real testimonial by a real person who attends/ed Southeastern Vet-to -Vet Peer Support, Inc. (Vet-to-Vet) at our Montgomery Alabama site. I have lightly edited this content for clarity. — Webmaster, Southeastern Vet-to-Vet Peer Support, Inc.
What I think of Vet-to-Vet
Each week I attend the Vet-to-Vet group meeting at the Montgomery site. I have been going for approximately one year. This is the best peer support program that I have ever been associated with as a recovering veteran.
Our trained facilitators are dedicated to ensure the we get the best support as possible. They create a positive and nurturing environment to keep us on task, comfortable and involved to keep up a good maintenance program for ourselves.
I enjoy sharing my experiences with other veterans that may have had similar ones. It is comforting to know that you are not alone with your problem.
Over the past year I have gained knowledge and incite as to why I am experiencing PTSD. I know that I can keep myself focused with such a wonderful and needed support group. I think all veterans should be involved with Vet-to-Vet.
